Fire Drill - 21.06.2024

On June 21, 2024, firefighters and fire department officers visited St. Christopher’s Academy to address the students. They began by explaining the three types of fire extinguishers and their appropriate uses for different fire incidents. Afterward, our principal and a few students conducted a demonstration, showcasing how to use a fire extinguisher during a fire drill. Finally,  the students were guided to the fire engine, where they received explanations about its various parts, equipment and their functions.

Investiture ceremony - 28.06.2024

 St. Christopher’s Academy held its Investiture Ceremony on June 28th, 2024, celebrating the appointment of new student leaders with pride and solemnity. The event began with prayers, followed by a ceremonial march and the school choir's performance. The chief guest, Mrs. P.C. Selvarani, formally invested the leaders with sashes and badges. The newly appointed leaders, including the School Pupil Leader and Sports Captain, took an oath to serve with integrity. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, closing prayer, and the national anthem, marking a meaningful and patriotic celebration.

Fruit Salad Day - 02.08.2024

 Fruit Salad Day at St. Christopher’s Academy was a joyful and educational event aimed at teaching children the importance of fruits, hygiene, and basic culinary skills. The day featured a special assembly, an engaging video, a fun photoshoot, and hands-on fruit salad making. Students enjoyed preparing and tasting their creations while also sharing with staff, promoting generosity and teamwork. The event was a delightful blend of learning, fun, and community spirit.

Campus Tour- 09.08.2024

 The campus tour for kindergarten students at St. Christopher’s Academy was a fun and enriching experience, introducing them to various parts of the school. From learning under the banyan tree and exploring the canteen, library, and assembly hall, to meeting the security guard and the Principal, each stop offered valuable lessons. The children gained insights into nature, healthy habits, reading, and school culture. The tour fostered curiosity, respect, and a sense of belonging, making it a memorable day for the little learners.

COLOUR WEEK – 04.10.2024 to 08.10.2024

 Kindergarten students celebrated Colour Week from October 4th to 8th with a range of vibrant and engaging activities. Each day focused on a specific colour, introduced during assembly and explored through rhymes, audiovisual sessions, and interactive indoor and outdoor games. Classrooms came alive with colourful displays, and children joyfully dressed in the day's theme. With well-planned crafts and takeaway gifts, the week fostered creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of colours. The celebration was a joyful blend of fun and learning, leaving lasting memories for the children.

Diya workshop - 26.10.2024

On 26th October 2024, Fevicryl conducted a hands-on workshop for the students of St. Christopher'sAcademy. Mrs. Karpagavalli taught the children how to paint and decorate diya models provided to them. Students from grades 5 to 10 had a wonderful experience learning new art techniques that day

Hindi Week

 During the last week of October 2024, Hindi Week was celebrated through engaging assembly sessions. On 28th October, students presented speeches in Hindi and English, and a song highlighting the importance of the language was performed, making it a meaningful tribute to Hindi.

Talent Hunt

The Talent Hunt, held from 4th to 14th November 2024, provided a vibrant platform for students from Pre-KG to Grade X to showcase their skills across a range of activities. Events like craft competitions, elocution in English and Tamil, singing, instrumental music, and scripture recitation highlighted their creativity and confidence. Each day featured age-appropriate competitions tailored to bring out the best in every student. The grand finale, a colourful Fancy Dress competition, added joy and enthusiasm. Overall, the Talent Hunt was a memorable celebration of student talent and self-expression.

Joy of Giving Drive 2024

St. Christopher’s Academy celebrated the spirit of Christmas through the Joy of Giving Drive, encouraging students and families to donate essential groceries for the needy. Contributions were distributed to families and an orphanage, spreading festive cheer. On 16th December, a Christmas Offertory welcomed further voluntary donations. Culminating the initiative, the Principal, along with teachers and students, visited The Satkarya Trust on 20th December to share gifts, love, and the true joy of Christmas.

Math week 20.01.25 – 24.01.25

 Maths Week at St. Christopher’s Academy was celebrated with enthusiasm from 20th to 24th January 2025, featuring a variety of engaging activities. Students showcased their knowledge through speeches, quizzes, fancy dress, dances, songs, and a skit highlighting the presence of math in everyday life. Each day featured interactive sessions like quizzes by Ms. Jenifer and Mrs. Sofia Solomon, encouraging active participation and learning. The celebration successfully fostered a love for mathematics across all grade levels.

RSP (Road Safety Patrol) Week - 30.01.25

 During RSP Week, Grade 8 students highlighted the importance of road safety and traffic rules. On 30.01.2025, the session began with an introduction to the observance, followed by an explanation of RSP, its motto, and its functions in Tamil Nadu. Students also presented road safety signals and demonstrated proper hand signals to promote awareness among their peers.
